I'm an American ex-pat living in Japan, proofing and editing software development manuals for a big electronics company.

I consider myself a moderate Democrat, and yet it's becoming clearer and clearer that the Bush administration is the most nakedly corrupt and incompetent administration in living memory, that has managed to flush away a government budget surplus, a strong economy, and an enormous well of sympathy worldwide since 9/11, all for the benefit of a bunch of amoral power-hungry greedheads, delusional neoconservative frootbats, and narrow-minded religious fanatics.

I fear, I really fear, for my country.
